Following on the successful quilt exhibition at the 2011 “Music in the Mountains” Rally at Tapawera which raised $6,000 for the Cancer Society,  a similar exhibition was held at this years Tauranga Motorhome Association Easter rally.

The exhibition  featured some ofNew   Zealand’s leading quilt artists, the basis of which is the private quilt collection of Peter and the late Rinny Gordon supplemented by several guest exhibitors. It  also included works by NZMCA members.

 Guest artists were Lois Wine of Tirau, Susan Claire of Otaki and Bev Dyke of Motueka, and Mary Transom of Ohope.

The organisers Peter Gordon and Sandy Green are delighted to announce that the exhibition, and the raffle quilt (shown above), raised over $7800 towards Cancer research.
