European Patchwork Meeting

France, 18 – 21 September 2025

Aotearoa Quilters has been invited to submit a proposal to hang an exhibition of quilts from New Zealand at the European Patchwork Meeting in France in September 2025. The committee are keen to take up this opportunity as this means we can showcase the work of our quilters on the international stage. To do this we would need 30 to 50 quilts that are reflective of NZ and showcase NZ quilters. We would prefer these quilts to be original, however quilts from patterns or made in workshops will also be considered. Quilts can be any size and can have been shown in NZ previously but not in Europe. We would like to invite members to submit their work for consideration via an entry form on the Aotearoa Quilters website. There will be a $10 non-refundable charge for each quilt submitted. The entry forms will be available from 1st May and entries close on 30th June. Selection of quilts will be complete by 30th September and members will be advised if their quilts have been accepted or not. Quilts being prepared for the 2025 GNZQS will also be eligible.

We need to submit our proposal to the exhibition organisers in France in November 2024 and we will hear if this has been accepted by the end of January 2025.
