Welcome to the May newsletter. There is definitely a wintery feel to the air now, even here in Northland – perfect weather for the indoor sport of quilting. A good time to remember that the Winter Jumpstart program will start in a couple of months…when it’s even colder! I just came back from a quilt teaching trip to Australia. Brisbane was very pleasant weather wise, but Melbourne was decidedly Autumnal with lots of turning leaves.

There are lots of interesting articles and things happening in this month’s edition, and remember, we are always looking for more. If you have something that you would like to submit, please email me at lottiemscott@yahoo.com.

You’ll see that there is lots happening for our Aotearoa Quilters regional groups. These are area based groups made up entirely of AQ members. We currently have no regional groups in Wellington, Manawatu, Auckland or Northland. If you are interested in starting a regional group in your area, please drop us a line.

Thank you for all your entries in the Spring Colour challenge. These have been judged and the winners announced after the prizegiving, which will be held next month at our committee zoom meeting.

We are also looking forward to seeing your entries for the European Patchwork Meeting, and entries from those of you taking part in the Odd Object Challenge.
