The Random Challenge

This online challenge is partly to have a fun activity for August, but also to capitalise on what we have learned about quilt photography from our Trudy Cleveland webinar, or other sources.

You will make a quilt any size, but square format (on a screen it doesn’t matter what size your square is). The quilt must be finished, but does not need any sleeve or label . It does not need to be ‘arty’ – you could interpret your photo as a traditional block if you wish. Enjoy yourself!

How it works:

The computer will randomly allocate you an inspiration photo. You can interpret it in any way or just use part of it. The computer will also randomly allocate you into small groups, although you won’t know who the other people are in your group until the end. Small prizes (vouchers for your local quilt shop) will be allocated by the judge, who is looking for good photography as well as good workmanship and design.

The final details will be posted later, when we have an idea how many people are interested in taking up the challenge.

Please complete the expressions of interest form here.
